2025 Spring Coach Registration

Welcome

Thank you for being willing to volunteer to coach the kids in our community! Please note a few things:

1. All coaches that register are NOT guaranteed to get a coaching position.

2. There will be a required coaches clinic. The date right now is TBD, but you will be notified in advance. If you are unable to attend that clinic, you must attend a meeting with Preston and Brandon. If you are selected as a coach and cannot attend, we will contact you to set that up.

3. As a coach in YYF you will be REQUIRED to referee!! We will cover as many spots as we can with MOA Officials, board members, and staff, but there will be games that we cannot cover. If you cannot to commit to referee, you will not be selected as a coach.

4. The tentative start of the season is the week of March 31st, with the first games being April 5th. You will be allowed 2 practices that first week, and then 1 practice per week after games start. You may NOT exceed one practice per week. The spring season is intentionally setup so that kids have the option to play other sports along with football. The days of the week and time of practice is your discretion as a coach. You must start practice after 5 PM (Word of advice from experience, try to avoid Wednesday nights)

5. As stated above the schedule is still tentative. But, games will be played on Saturdays. 3rd/4th grade and 5th/6th grade divisions will play double headers every week, one right after the other. Please plan accordingly. Games times will start at approximately 10 AM and run in 1 hour 20 minute increments until all games for that week have been played. The 1st/2nd Grade division will play one game a week. This is for safety reasons. Each 1st/2nd grade team will have ONE Saturday double header at some point during the season. There may also be 1 or 2 week night games for all divisions. Also, there will be an even number of teams in every division so there will be no bye weeks. Every team will play every week.

6. Lastly, there will be an end of the season tournament. Every team makes the tournament. This will be on a Saturday. It will be single elimination, and it will be completed all in one day.
