Yellowstone Youth Football

Thank you for applying to be a coach for the 2025 YYF Fall season. We cannot run our league without coaches, and we are very grateful that you are willing to give of your time to work with the kids of Billings

You will be asked to complete a background check during this application. You can choose to have those results sent to you if you wish. Those results will be seen by nobody but Preston Roberts, Chad Reichert and Brice Baker, the chairmen of the committee that now over sees tackle football. 

******* Important note: We do not have enough teams for all the coaches that apply, so just because you apply to coach, does not mean that you will automatically get a coaching position. We will send out an email with the final coaches list after the August 1st deadline, and we know exactly how many teams we will have. ********

Important Dates - Tackle Coaches

Coaches Clinics - Tuesday OR Thursday August 19th and 21st. These will take place at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center, at 6:30 pm both nights. This is REQUIRED for anybody that plans on coaching. Head coaches, assistant coaches, or those that just plan on helping at practice. You do NOT have to attend both nights! 

Combine and Equipment Checkout - Saturday, August 23rd @ Stewart Park. Times will be announced after the signup deadline and we see how many players we have. 

Team Drafts - Sunday, August 24th. In the YYF Shed @ Stewart Park. These will take place throughout the day in 45-55 minutes increments depending on how many drafts we have to have. Times will be announced after the signup deadline. 

Flag Coaches

Coaches Clinic - Dates and time will be announced as we get closer to the season. The flag clinic is not quite as involved as the tackle clinic so we are going to do it at a separate time this season.

All Coaches

Practices may begin on Monday, August 25th. The first games will be on September 6th. We are hoping to have an even number of teams in all divisions this year so that we will not have to have bye weeks. If that is the case, ALL teams will play on 9/6. If not, there will be teams on BYE that wont play until the following week.
